Thomas Asciuto, MD

Dr. Thomas Asciuto is a highly experienced pulmonologist with over 25 years of expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory conditions. He earned his Medical Degree from the prestigious Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed his residency at North Shore University / Long Island Jewish in Forest Hills, NY. Dr. Asciuto further advanced his expertise with a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California.

Board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Asciuto has specialized knowledge in managing conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases, obstructive sleep apnea, and pulmonary nodules. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Asciuto serves as the Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit, Respiratory Services, and the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center. He also holds the role of Chairman of the Pulmonary/Critical Care Practice Team at Memorial Health Services. Dr. Asciuto’s past leadership roles include serving as Chairman of the Thoracic Oncology Program at MemorialCare Todd Cancer Center in Long Beach, CA, and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Dr. Asciuto is committed to advancing the field of pulmonary medicine and is an active member of the MemorialCare Physician Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.

He is skilled in performing various pulmonary procedures, including flexible bronchoscopy and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), further enhancing his ability to diagnose and treat complex respiratory conditions.

Kelly Wong, PA-C

Kelly Wong is an NCCPA nationally board-certified Physician Assistant. She attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where she graduated with High Honors in Physician Assistant Studies. She is experienced in assessing chronic coughs and managing obstructive sleep apnea, asthma, and COPD.
